Gulfood | Dubai 2024

AgCorp Grains had the pleasure of being invited by Adroit Overseas Enterprises to attend Dubai’s biggest edition of Gulfood’s history brought together over 5,500 leading food and beverage companies, showcasing 150,000+ new products from more than 190 countries. Filled with countless networking opportunities with international grain buyers to develop new business relationships and strengthen existing ones.

"Australia exports almost $3.2 billion to the UAE and close to $1.3 billion of that is actually comprised of food and agricultural exports. Australia has been at Gulfood since the beginning, and have seen it grow from being a regional trade show into this global phenomenon.”

Bryony Hilless, Australian Consul-General Dubai, and General Manager Middle East, Africa and Pakistan

Country Racing At Its Finest

Having completed a number of successful trades AgCorp’s Directors, Andrew Evans and Sam Fairley decided it was time to celebrate with friends at one of the country’s premier racecourses, Mudgee Race Club. Located in the spectacular Mudgee Wine Region it was the chance to meet a vibrant regional community who share a passion for agribusiness and the excitement of racing.

Andrew enjoyed a successful win on his first race but may have got overzealous on the following bets and unfortunately for him lost his earlier winnings.

With over 35 cellar doors to choose from we found ourselves visiting two outstanding wineries, Lowe Family Wines where we had a delightful dinner at the Zin House and Blue Wren Farm the following day for our long-lunch resulting in slightly sore heads.

Mudgee with its boutique shops, markets and great coffee to boot is certainly a must visit regional town in NSW.
